There is approximately 20 minutes car distance from Parit Jawa to Muar town. The people’s living style is totally different between 2 places. Parit Jawa is a small and simple fishing village. The people there live an idle life. When you drive into Parit Jawa, you will find a long river connected to the seaport, and those colourful fishing boat moored alongside the quay. The view of the reflection of the fishing boats on the tranquil water is natural and serene. The ripples merged into one another when the boats occasionally put out of sea or returned. During afternoon, the fishermen had their chats, played Chinese chess or washed their boats. The simplicity of living style in this place simply makes people falling in love here.

There is a small park nearby the Pantai Leka. The people undoubtedly sit on the long chair to enjoy silence but serene sights. It is also the best place to view the sunset. The birds will leave searching for foods when the tide ebbed. At evening, it is the best moment for the kids to have fun and the neighbourhoods to have fellowship. You can choose to go to the Malay restaurant at the right corner to enjoy the sights. This simplicity of living style is exactly what the people living in the urban area lack of. A sightseeing stand is also set there. The people who are interested may have a look.

Parit Jawa had been used by many generations of birds of passage (such as egrets, swallows and others.), as they made the long journey south each year in search of warmer weather. The best season to view these birds is during June-August. Every evening, you will see the birds leave searching for the foods patiently, or the birds fly towards the sky, which is simply epic. You will also find that there is a lot of photographers to capture the amazing moment. It is appropriate for the parents along with the children to sight and have an outdoor naturalism lesson.

Parit Jawa is also a ‘heaven’ for the avid fishermen. You can see the people from the river estuary heading towards the opening sea to go fishing.

This is a fruitful journey which simply throws all your burdens and sorrows out of your mind. Selfie-lovers definitely capture a lot of pictures. No matter how they capture, still it looks beautiful.
