Taman Bakariah is actually quite a hidden place, you won't go in even if you passby, but in this hidden place you can actually find treassure. When the evening strikes., you can see there a lot of cards going to an empty space, and then it suddenly become crowded.
This is a family based business restaurant, has been operated for more than 10 years, and has collected some reputation. Mainly they sell Hainan hometown food. Eventhough the boss is very shy in front of the camera but when he take his spatula is like a totally different person, very skillful. And you can see a lot of temptations on the table.
The kitchen is always busy, you can hear the loud gas stove noise, and the sound of conflict between wok and spatula and what's really shocking is there are literally no place to sit during peak hours, if the business is good, you can see each of every table is filled with seafoods, so you can see that their seafood is a must to order.
There are a lot of variety of food here, their signature here is salted-baked flower crab, spicy sea snail, fried dragon tongue fish, clams with soup, steam stingray, and all of these is suitable with rice. The price are reasonable and most importantly the seafoods are fresh. The boss is very fussy on the quality on the food. No matter you eat with family or hanging out with friends while drinking beer, this is the best place to be.
There is one special recommendation which is their sea snail, you can don't eat with utensils, and instead using hands is even more delicious, by sucking them into your mouth. Despite the meat that came out is not a lot but the process of eating it is definitely making the dish more delicious. The clam soup is sweet and spicy, the crabs are very meaty and everyone here will order those.
You can also try their Hainan fried noodle, is authentic Hainanese way of cooking.
