In Lau Yam Hoi Coffee Shop, not only you will see traditional coffee with eggs & bread, inside there is a stall operating too, which you don’t normally see in coffee shop and the vital of this coffee shop.

This stall is rented from this coffee shop, operating from 6am to 10.30am, and opens everyday unless the coffee shop take a break. The lady boss said she used to open in the market then later on moved to this place, and the customers now are her regular customers.

What you will eat here is very think noodle and the locals call it noodle puff. You can eat it with soup or sauced. The main point is actually the handmade fishball, is not made machine, she insist to take her stock from a supplier. Although is not handmade by her but through her skillful hands she can turn the fishball as bouncy as ping pong ball. The key for these is actually the temperature of the water and control of the time must be accurate, plus her own soya sauce and fish sauce must mix well. Pour some sauce, pork rip and anchovies, you can have a very aromatic fish ball on your table.

Although it doesn’t use any lard but you still can taste the noodles very sweet and also the soup tastily. The Lady boss will sometimes observe customer’s reaction and comments about it, if it’s not good, she will change until everyone are satisfied. Today she is acknowledge by everyone.
