Early in the morning, in Yahya street, many will crowd around a particular stall to dine-in and take-away. This is one of Muar’s famously known places; “one of the four heavenly kings”, and has been in business for generations.

The fried cake is one of the best here.



The stall had been passed down for 3 generations and is nearly 70-years-old.
They open at 5am and will end their business when their cakes sell out.
The carrot cake is homemade. It is made of grinded sliced radish, steamed, and then fried with spring onion, garlic, eggs with fish sauce.

The owner states that white fried cakes are rare. Preferences have changed and many prefer strongly flavoured food with a little sweetness, thus many other stalls would add soy sauce into their cakes, but the owner is determined to remain its original flavour.



A plate of carrot cake without any paste would offer you an enjoyable taste of authenticity.
